Born:  25 November 1843 in Early County, Ga.

Died: 2 March 1923

Married Lyda L Trull - Born 13 Jan 1842 and died 4 Jan 1919

He enlisted in Co. D or H Spaights Battlion - Texas in 1862 in Hardin County, Tx.  He was surrendered at Galveston at the end of the war.  Comrades were J M Holomon -Woodville, Texas; Richard Mayo - Spurger, Texas.  Witnesses on the application were G W Richardson and Harold Iles - both of Sugartown.

Pension stated that he was crippled due to bad back in Sept 1921.

 

24 Nov 1861 - 18 years old - enlists in Co D at Sabine Pass, Texas by Major Likens for 12 months.

1 Sep 1862 - present and paid by Lt Brown

31 Oct 1862 - present and paid by Lt Brown

28 Aug 1863 - Deserted at Beaumont, Tx

1 June 1864 in guard house at Sabine Pass

24 July 1863 at Sabine Pass from desertion

23 July 64 Under arrest at Sabine Pass - Sept 64 Muster Roll Co. D

23 July 64 Under arrest at Sabine Pass - Oct 64 Muster Roll Co. D

23 July 64 Under arrest at Sabine Pass - Nov 64 Muster Roll Co. H - Spaight's Regiment
