Family History says the Uncle Buck had very bad MUMPS while in Cicil War
...Uncle Tom said he almost died in camp in LA.
There was only one child born , Thomas C. " Gourdhead Tom " HOLMES.
My father told that the HOLMES boys ( Uncle Tom, Buck , Claiborne, and
Joe ) were so rough when they were young; they earned the name of "The
Bully
Brothers". (fact or fiction?)
